For fans in the Seattle area:

Second Sunday Pubmeet will be tomorrow, Sunday November 12.

Marci informs me that our group has been bumped out of the back room again this month due to a larger group wanting the space. Unlike last time, we've been promised reserved tables in the bar, backed against at least one table in the restaurant, in case there are minors. This will, we hope, be better than the narrow room at the front. Still, this makes the second month in a row we've been bumped out of our usual room. Possibly one order of discussion for tomorrow would be whether we should consider scouting for alternative venues.

What: Seattle Tun - Fans with Beers
When: Sunday, November 12; 4:30-6:30 p.m. (or so)
Where: Blue Star Cafe & Pub
4512 Stone Way Ave North
Seattle, WA 98102

Well, that's a bummer about getting bumped again. With the smoking ban in place now, our venue options have increased, but that back room at the Blue Star is just about perfect for us. Somehow I don't think the ten-person room upstairs at Brouwers would cut it.

No, even a Likeliest Suspects subset of us doesn't seem to fit in the upstairs at Brouwers, alas*, and you're right that having our own separate space is much nicer than being just another bunch among the hoi polloi. Not to mention the issue of a place that doesn't insist on a unified tab. Still, I think there's no harm in scouting, even if we wind up sticking with the Blue Star.

*Alas that the space at Brouwers isn't bigger; I'm actually pretty pleased that the regular crowd reliably exceeds ten people.
