We hold these truths to be self-evident: Romanesque is objectively better than Modern architecture; Wittgenstein is a bitch to read, but pays off with fractal fecundity; it is better to be playful than cool; what will finally immanentize the eschaton is the titanic struggle between adherents of New York- versus Chicago-style pizza; American fans have dog-nature while British fans have cat-nature; either God is ineffable, or the Fundamentalists have direct access to His wishes, but not both; change is inevitable, especially under sofa cushions; chocolate is so a food group.

I am a doodler, a dabbler, a dork, a dilettante, and a mostly-off-recipe cook. I like the idea of gardening, but want a paid professional to do most of the work; still, it would be good to grow a few tomatoes or so. And lily-of-the-valley. I have a ferret-like attention span, and a great fondness for the colorful and the shiny. I wish people played parlor games more. I am a flirt, a pest, and a well-vetted brat. "I am frolicksome, and I am easy, good-tempered, and free..." Mostly good-tempered, anyhow. Someday, I would like to try my hand at restoring an old house. I seek the company of people who are smart, and clever, and very good at what they do. I can actually fake the act of suffering fools gladly, but don't often do it in print. I love dancing and singing and making pretties, and don't do near enough of any of those things. I'm such a prat sometimes. I love words, and people who are good at playing with them. I pick up the basics pretty quickly, but seldom manage to stick around long enough to get really good. I love my cotton ragg socks. I speak Swedish and English passing well, I muddle along indifferently in French, Spanish, German, and to a lesser degree, ASL. I am at a total loss as to what would be a good professional use for my skillset.

I was born in Karlskoga Sweden, whose other claims to fame are the Bofors Gun, the adjudication of Alfred Nobel's will, and Olympic diver Ulrika Knape. I was ripped untimely from my Motherland, and in the process became good at calling any place home. And a little too good at "out of sight, out of mind," as well. It was that, or mourn forever.
