She went on to say that "the president of the United States ... has undisputedly violated the Fourth in failing to procure judicial orders."

Okay. Undisputedly violated the Constitution. That would be the one he swore to uphold. Twice. (Took the oath, I mean. I don't even want to speculate on how many times he violated it.)

Surely violating his sacred oath of office is sufficient grounds for impeachment?

Let's be grateful that there are American judges who know how to interpret the Constitution. As for speculating on the number of times Dubya Dubya III has violated it, there's a meter in Thomas Jefferson's office in Heaven for every time a President violates the Constitution, and right now it's ticking a lot like a Geiger counter at Chernobyl.

It may be a generalization but:

Republicans don't believe in Democracy. Conservatives don't believe in America.

I'm not a member of any political party, but this year more than any other in recent times: Zero tolerance for Republicans.

Oh, we (or rather, I) always _knew_ that some -- maybe many -- politicians have no (or very little) honor, and that one party might have significantly more of these than the other (which party it was varied from time to time). But yes, it's taken me about twelve years (I didn't follow politics so intensely before that) to admit that I actually _believe_ that practically all of the Republicans in Congress (as well as the current Administration) are seriously lacking in Honor. Well.. or in the quality of Statesmanship to which they pretend. Practically all of them are clearly putting their Party (and getting its members elected) ahead of the well-being of the Nation and its people. Practically all of them have consistently voted for radical things that (IMHO) violate the concept of States Rights &/or the Constitution, or that exhibit a flagrant disregard of Fiscal Responsibility -- the two aspect of the Republican Platform for which I felt considerable respect (despite sometimes differing on specific application). Or should that be "feel"? it's still all in the Platform, I guess, even though not practiced. I very much don't _want_ to believe that more than half our elected Federal officials -- considerably more than half, with all the Democrats who really haven't done much to oppose these radical changes -- are rotten apples. So, yeah, it's taken me a ridiculously long time to come to a boil.

The "Everybody Does It" Defense is one of the Big Lies that conservatives have gotten away with. They sling excuses whenever they do something horribly wrong. It's not true, of course: Everybody does not do it, certainly not to the extent of these criminals, and whether anyone else does something does not excuse you.

This sounds like Judicial Legislating, to me -- something that's pernicious and must be eradicated. Why, next thing you know they'll be requiring that everyone -- even The President Himself -- obey all the laws, even the ones he signs with a Statement that he isn't going to observe or enforce them. Such limitations of the Authority of our Glorious Leader are intolerable.
