Autumn in the Wind
Aug. 15th, 2006 03:48 pmIt's there again. That chilly taste of autumn on the wind. I notice the horse chestnut trees are turning bronze around the edges, and the spiky seed pods are fat and lime green. The miniature maples by Miller Hall, too, starting little edges of some-color-not-green around the little five-fingered leaves. And on the walk in front of the Union building, a single yellow and scarlet maple leaf, the color of a ripe pippin apple. It's coming.
