Mending Ravelled Sleeves

akirluPotlatch is over. Thank Ghu. It was a fine convention, it was a lovely convention, but I need a nap now please. Apparently I no longer have the constitutional wherewithal to help load in Friday, stay up late culling dance cds, get up early to start the program, commute to the convention, run program, skip lunch to pickup the dual cd player for the dance, moderate my own panel, oversee tech and test-run the video projector/laptop interface, set up the dance, dance 'til midnight, break down the tech gear from the dance, go to a scotch tasting, commute home, get up in time to be back at the hotel by 9:00 to set up video, get in some help time for the auction, transfer the video gear to the main ballroom and re-set, have absolutely everything snafu for the post-banquet presentation, and then load my share of everything back out again, with some semblance of coordination getting stuff back to the right people. And squeeze in some social time with my friends in there somewhere. If I ever did. Have the constitutional wherewithal, that is.
The Greek restaurant Saturday was genuinely wonderful. Lamb to die for. Stuffed grape leaves to kill your grandma for. But the place was so microscopic and I so short on time that we had to turn down Art Widner joining us for fear we'd never get a table in time. Wah. I walked back to the hotel so everyone else could finish their dinner at leisure, and was happy to find that Tami had been equally delayed by dinner so we met up at just about the same time anyhow. Serendip.
It all went off, though, and well, so it seems. Yay, team.
I meant to fall into bed this afternoon for a long nap, but sleep is eluding me so I'm watching Lady Chatterley instead. Well, there are worse things than Sean Bean with his shirt off.
