An LJ-Meme: Which of these bands have you seen live? Post your list of "bands seen" in your LJ. Start with the ones you've seen from my list and add others until you have 25 or so. Gacked from [livejournal.com profile] laurel and [livejournal.com profile] minnehahaK and their bands are in bold:

Boiled in Lead
Suzanne Vega
Richard Thompson
They Might Be Giants
Genesis
Warren Zevon

Styx (I went with a friend, okay?)
Peter Gabriel
Blind Boys of Alabama
Level 42
Steve Winwood
Cheap Trick
The Police
The Irish Rovers
Martin Stephenson & the Daintees
Melissa Etheridge
Brother
George Thorogood & the Delaware Destroyers
House of Freaks
The Unforgiven
Paula Cole
Sarah Maclaughlan
The Heartfixers
Julian Lennon (I went with a friend, okay?)
Dash Rip Rock
U. Utah Phillips

EDIT:
Howinhell did I forget Bruce Cockburn? Funniest cover of Monty Python EVAR!

Also, because of a day spent at the 1983 US Festival:

Divinyls
INXS
Wall of Voodoo
Oingo Boingo
The English Beat
Flock of Seagulls
Stray Cats
Men At Work
The Clash

Though that day is a heat-induced haze in my memory, and rather than remembering any of several acts I like from that slate, the image that stuck with me was of friggin' Flock of Seagulls, and the lead singer flipping that idiotic hair of his all the time.

The only one on the above list I've seen perform live is Richard Thompson, in a muddy cow pasture in rural England.

The only other one I own any CDs by is Suzanne Vega. I think I have an old Boiled in Lead LP somewhere. But that's it.

Half of the list I've never heard of.

Haven't seen any of them. There are some there I would like to see though, if that counts. I have CDs by about half of them.

I can't remember, did you come with me for Level 42 (oh, and that Winwood guy)? I think we talked about it but it didn't work out. On the other hand, Julian Lennon was All. Your. Fault. :) Truthfully, I enjoyed the show, but I think I liked the juggler best. He went on to become a comedian (climbing up the entertainment food chain, as he himself admits): Chris Bliss.

Yeah, I admit, I was the one with you for Level 42. No, they were late. Impossibly late.

Yes, Julian Lennon is all my fault. Absolutely. But he wasn't as bad as we were expecting!! It was free! Going to it makes us unique cause nobody else will either admit it or saw him in concert! Yeah!

Yes, Chris Bliss kicked ass.

Yes, Julian Lennon. Sucks less than you fear. I don't remember Level 42 being late, but then, I had such the hots for the lead singer at the time, that everything else probably fell out of my head.

Am also recently reminded that I Have So seen the Bobs live, it's just that it was that weird Bobs/Flying Karamazovs fusion act and so I forgot.
