It's been a while
Oct. 27th, 2012 10:24 pmIt may have been as much as a couple of years since the last time the local garage band regaled us. On the plus side, their chops seem to have improved a lot since last we were treated to one of their neighborhood-blanketing free concerts. On the not-so-plus side their repertoire seems utterly unchanged: Bryan Adams, John Cougar Mellencamp, a melange of Southern Rock, and maybe a bit of Blue Oyster Cult tossed in. On the definitely not-at-all-plus side, someone seems to have bought bigger speakers and better amps. Yay.
But I'm guessing Kent's municipal quiet time may begin at 10pm even on a Saturday. At least, they seem to have gone quiet after a 2-hour-long set. What I can't figure out is why they picked tonight. They had a whole summer of warm, sunny evenings but wait until it's drippy, and cold, and damp? What's with that.
In other news, we're enjoying the first season of Damages.
