I don't follow couture fashion or who's on the catwalks this year, so I had never heard of Abbey Lee Kershaw before, but I was scrolling through Pinterest and came upon this image of her and got all squicky inside -- to me she looks like a very skillful mashup of two people, a six-year-old kid, and an alarmingly underfed supermodel -- the sort of thing people do with clever Photoshop tricks, only this obviously wasn't. I had to go look her up just to make sure she isn't under age. (She's not.) I'd say we've taken the infantilization and stylization of female 'beauty' standards too far, but 'too far' was several parsecs back.
ETA: It didn't help my sense of squick-against-fashion that as I was drilling down through the linked pages trying to find a solo source for the Kershaw image, I had to scroll past this lingerie for death camp survivors shot to find what I was looking for. Ick.
