Both 2011 TAFF winner John Coxon, and 2011 DUFF winner Dave Cake, should be in attendance at this month's Fans with Beers event. A finer pair of dudes you couldn't hope to meet. I'd love to be there. Unfortunately, the drive from the LArea would take me more than four days (others might make it in two), and my wings have been clipped (or rather, I've clipped them). So... have fun.

Clearly you need to get Art Widner to drive down and pick you up -- I feel certain he could make it in that time, even with the extra leg down from Gualala.

Do you really hate me that much? Art's a great guy, but riding in a car with him driving would give me a heart-attack within... hours, if not minutes. (He's made of sterner stuff, and survived me driving him from a Mpls con to one in Madison.)

Aw, Don, I don't hate you at all. I was just kidding around, alluding to the terrifying speeds Art tends to drive at. Riding with him might well give ME a heart-attack.
