Steve Green arrived safely in Seattle yesterday afternoon. Unfortunately, his luggage did not. Apparently the luggage was tagged for a Barry Green, traveling to Las Vegas, and American Airlines still haven't managed to pull their thumbs out and do something about it.

But we've managed to get Steve an American fruit waffle breakfast, some spare underwear and socks, and a change of shirt, and after he's showered and feeling vaguely human again, we'll spirit him off to do a bit of touristy stuff before returning to Kent for the Roller Girls' match this evening and then Jerry and Suzle's party tonight.

I may slope off and do a bit of work at the office while Hal and Steve take in the SF Museum -- it's not even that I want to preserve my virgin record of never getting to the SF Museum so much as I have a bit of work still to do before the movers show up to move our office on Monday. Joy, joy, joy unbounding.

Weather is cooperating by being neither too hot nor too wet. How odd. Wonder how we'll pay for that later?

Yeah, I usually say "Seattle makes weather wimps of us all," but you're quite right that the weather wimpy zone is a good deal larger than even just greater Seattle.

Oh dear, well at least they know where his luggage is.
How long is he in Seattle? Will the luggage have time to catch up?

Steve flies back out on Monday. Whether the luggage will have time to catch up or no is largely dependent on whether AA continue to be useless slackers, or not. Yesterday they were claiming the bag would be delivered yesterday. Now they're saying today. Who knows what that really means. We have spare luggage if we need to lend him something.

Useless slackers no doubt, but typically they'll get you the luggage in a day or so without a problem, providing they know where it is. Worse is when they don't. :(

Dave - who has lost a LOT of bags in the last 5 years.

There's always the possibility of experiencing American thrift stores . . .
