What's the thinking behind making the palettes exactly five colours, I wonder?
What I want is a Google application or mashup that takes the image returns for any search (e.g. "Dmitri Medvedev", not just "fuchsia") and plots the them by density on a colour disc. a) so I can find out what the world thinks e.g. "cobalt" looks like, and b) to do psychology of word associations; what colour scheme would most people expect to see associated with "weekly contractor performance"?
Well, really, palettes are at most five colors. And I guess you need to draw a line somewhere, or you get the color equivalent of ransom note typography.
