Just found out about The 3/50 Project via good old Apartment Therapy. Now, we do try to do this with local restaurants, but I reckon we ought to make more of an effort with local retail as well. I know this swell little international market...

I've felt pretty strongly about this in connection with OurTown for a while now. We're pumping a fair amount of cash each month into Maggie's, Kona Kai, Spiro's, Shindig, and the little shops in Historic Downtown. We even got my wedding ring at Earthworks Gem Studio. But this is going to taper off when (if? when!) we close on the house, so I hope there will be other OurTowners waiting in the wings!
