Catching the 5:00 bus to downtown and therefore missing the construction traffic on Eastlake = win.

Getting to the International District with time to nip into Uwajimaya for fresh veg = big win.

Noticing the Highly Intriguing bakery in the food court = bonus win.

Blogging it on the train home = 21st Century Mega Win.

Congrats on the fancy phone. I haven't gone in for one of those yet, being a Really Late Adopter, but I groove on having the ASUS eeePC that slips into my purse, and the fact that the Sounder trains have wifi. A magic rock (a friend's term for internet phones) is way more portable though.

I'm not terrifically tech-savvy or cutting-edge. . . going for the fancy phone was less of an investment than upgrading my only computer, a desktop circa 2003. I'm just so far behind the curve that skipping the laptop phase seemed the way to go. I skipped from a 3.5" floppy drive straight to a DVD-ROM drive much the same way.

It is, yes. I had slipped into the habit of catching the 5:20 bus, but since they started doing construction all over my bus route, traffic has been so buggered up that I kept missing my train. So now I'm trying to catch the bus that leaves at 5:00 pm on the dot, or near as, in order to be able to catch the 5:55 Sounder out of King Street station. So far, this works much better because the traffic hasn't had a chance to build up on Eastlake by then. On the other hand, it leaves me a bit more time to kill in the International District.
