I am posting from the 197 Express. How cool is that? Okay, not as cool as leaving work in time to catch my train, but still.

Sumeria. China, India, Maya, Rome. The Renaissance. The Enlightenment. The Industrial Revolution. The Global Village.

All this has delivered us to our Golden 21st century where one can post from a bus that one is, um, er, on a bus.

Now the day the bus driver announces that this is the number 197 to the Town Hall via the Odeon and it'll be crusing at 30,000 feet. THAT would be cool.

Oh all right, yes, it is a bit cool.

PS and purely because it comes suddenly to mind: I want to die peacefully in my sleep like my father, not shouting and screaming like the passengers on his bus.
