Well... it's one of those tricky things. I'm no particular fan of Red Ken who could have moments of brilliance but would then tarnish them by doing something barking in equal measure.
Boris would, on face value, be the complete opposite. Utterly barking all the time with moments of occasional clarity.
A British Satire show came to the conclusion that his air was a brain sucking alien and when it was shorter or caught in the wind he'd sound normal...
It's all a result of a horrible typographic cock up where the words "mayor and "mascot" got confused on the ballot paper.
More seriously: Ken Livingstone got elected because of his oppositionla stance to the government of the day, many of whose finst lickspittle scumbag parasitic placemen (I'm not bitter about this, you understand)were at pains to denounce him. This time around he was all pally with many of the same fawning pencildicks (well, perhaps just a little bit) and Boris was the wild and crazy maverick who does things his way. It's been neglected, but I don't think London wants a Mayor who's too close to the government of the day.
Come the frighteningly likely David Caemron premiership, Boris may have problems if the government's interetss and London's don't agree... (now THAT'S a comment hook!)
