Creative Boil-over
Mar. 21st, 2008 12:42 pmNaturally, the urge to dye, paint, rubber-stamp, wax, bead, or otherwise create a whole bunch of pretty eggs for Easter would land on me only today. As if I have nothing else to do this weekend. On the other hand, it's been something like a month since I had a weekend not gobbled up whole by conventions, house guests, committee meetings, or other obligations, however charming. The 2-year-old fingerpaint queen that rules my soul wants some time running the show again. There must be something pretty made this weekend or I shall scream. Maybe I can channel all this pent up creative foment into making up the curtains for the living room, then.
Why yes, I suppose it could be read as ironic that I "don't have a convention" taking up all my free time on Easter weekend. But aside from some table time for Clarion West, I don't feel much like Norwescon. Not if I could be home hot-gluing florist jewels to a mirror frame, anyway.
