Reports of My Demise

Are more exaggerated than reports of the demise of my computer. Not long after my last update, my machine started getting into rather unproductive iterative re-boot loops. Hal is in the process of setting me up with a spare system while mine is diagnosed (or not) -- subsequent weirdness suggests that the problem may have something to do with having too-old versions of Adobe Acrobat, but WTF, yanno? Anyway, for a little while yet, my web and e-mail access may be a bit limited, except when and as I have time to post from work.

If you don't already know about it, The Ultimate Troubleshooter is invaluable for diagnosing and fixing PC problems. (Though it works best before things get so bad as to cause reboot-loops.) Best $30 you can spend on a computer.
