Progress at Geological Speeds

Today was sunny. (But cold. Damn' cold. Very annoying when one has the day off. I had to give up pruning the apple tree because my fingers were freezing inside my gloves.) Hal was playing with the camera a bit, catching the play of light on the floor, and the table, and the dog. I gacked this photo so I could blog it -- proof at last. See people? I have been doing something. The walls, they are green. The trim, it's taped and primed. It's just the last bit that seems to be dragging on and on. But. I. Have. Painted. Walls. Dammit.

It's Behr ryegrass from the local Home Despot. I have to say that on my monitor and on the swatch, the color sample looks much more gray and muted than it does on the wall. On the wall it looks brigher and chartreusier, much nearer to the green room on this page. I still like the color, but I was originally thinking of something more subdued. It's funny that so far both rooms we've painted have come out not lighter or darker than expected, but brighter and yellower. It might be the light we get.
