Okay, I've been pretty badly out of touch with LiveJournal and all the many blogs that I might be reading, but mostly am not. If only I were writing instead. But no. Sacrifices all, on the altar of Home Improvement. I begin to understand where all those folks who proudly declare they haven't read a book in years are spending their time.
Swinnyway, it was only today and only by chance and Randy Byers, that I realized that Charlie Stross will be in town next Tuesday, doing a reading and book signing at the SF museum. Apparently he's doing a quick tour of the Left Coast, meaning just Seattle, Portland, and the Bay Area -- in and out in about a week by the look of it. Congrats are due to Charlie, since publisher paid book tours are very rare indeed. But yikes, what a schedule.
But in case I'm not the only clueless f-wit, and any of my vast coastal readership also missed the news, you can check out Charlie's itinerary here. My guess is that what the itinerary really means about the Seattle signing is that it's sponsored by the University Bookstore at SFM, not that it's at the University Bookstore at SFM. But this is only supposing that the flack at the publisher, and the folks at SFM are all simultaneously making sense. In the case of the latter, I wouldn't give better than even odds.
