Turns out Trader Joe's has started carrying a flourless chocolate cake, made with dark Belgian chocolate.

It's quite good.

Yeah, I needed to know that. You probably did, too.

But hey, at least posting about it gets me briefly out of the code mines. I've been hacking away at updating the Potlatch website. No, no link. I'm not done yet.

Back to the mines we go, me and my flying monkeys...

They have a great English Toffee frozen cake which I really like. Good thing I don't get there often.

Hmm. Might try that some time. For me, Trader Joe's is a regular grocery stop, because they carry the food my cat is willing to eat.

Well, at least it is not fluorescent chocolate cake.

That was how I first read it and spent some time contemplating those crazy people who live on the other side of ocean. Or smart people - a fluorescent chocolate cake would be easy to find in dark, so ideal as winter food during the dark months ...

It's actually pretty totally fabulous. The upside is, it doesn't take very much of it to be satisfying. High density, you might say.

They also carry an amazingly good gingerbread cake, which they sell for $.99.

It's a good thing that it's rather a hassle for me to get to Trader Joe's.

Well, TJ's carries one of the two kinds of cat food that Tinka will deign to eat, so it's not like I can avoid getting there at least once every two weeks. Perhaps the flourless cake will not always be available.
