Happy Unbirthday

libertango slipped and fell down a muddy hillside here at home yesterday, and broke his leg. It was something of a nasty break -- tibia and fibula both -- and they've had to put a couple of bits of steel hardware into the bone to keep the various bits in the right places for healing. Hal will be stuck on his back at home for at least a week, maybe two, and can't put any weight on the leg for another four weeks, so our movements are almost certainly going to be a bit restricted for a while. If we don't see you socially, this may be why.

At the moment he's in the recovery room at Group Health Eastside hospital, after which he'll be in room 341 until some time tomorrow, when they're sending him home. The number at the hospital is 425-883-5151 if you want to call him this evening.

Eventually, there may be stuff folks can help with, and I won't hesitate to ask if I need anything, but for the moment the first agenda item will be getting him home and settled, and then we'll see where we go from there.
