So, Hal and I were walking around window shopping, and Hal tossed off some bon mot or other. This was not one of the Good Ones and so I gave him a +2 Quelling Glance of Disapprobation which, as usual, bounced off. "Do you know," I observed, "it can be very disheartening to be married to someone who, when slapped down with the Salmon of Enlightenment only responds with, 'Hey! Sushi!' "

To which Hal allowed as how, indeed, he likes sushi very much.
