...or the interconnectedness of all tasks.

I have a very colorbright necklace mostly laid out on the bead board, and this morning I noticed some dislodging of the layout that strongly implied feline intervention. So, I figured I would go ahead and string it up today, so as to eliminate the danger of more weasel- kitty-help. But in contemplating the design, I decided to switch from just stringing it on SoftTouch with a clasp on it, to doing a continuous strand thing, a la Coltrane, knotted on silk.

I could *swear* I bought some silk thread spools for necklace knotting back when the local bead shop was going out of business. At least some large-size spools of the nylon. I can just about taste them, I'm so sure I got them.

But can I find them? Not a sausage.

So in hopes of uncovering them, I've been pottering away at my various bins and bags of beads and findings and wire and such, organizing them a bit (by which I mean grouping things like with like, and extracting all the unrelated random bits that got shoved in to the nearest container when I was in a hurry to tidy, which process tends to make some parts of the work surface and storage bins more organized, while radically increasing the entropy in other parts of same. Sometimes I think all I do is move the entropy around. This is extra tricky in a place too small to allow for an entropy room). So now my work desk is messier, and I still have no silk thread.

Around noon it started snowing. At that point, I hadn't yet given up hope of finding the thread I was looking for. Then I figured it would stop soon enough, and I could go out to a bead store. Then I figured I hadn't looked hard enough for the thread. Now I'm wondering if I want to venture out anyway -- driving on snow is actually not bad, once enough of it accumulates--if the bead store is even open in this stuff. Sigh

Good thing I had already given up on the idea of going up to Bellingham this weekend.

Hi U. Snow? The UK's had to make do with relentless wind and rain.

By the way, when's the deadline for your next Ch*ng* column?

Snow indeed. Not very heavy, but pretty steady.

As for Chunga, you'd have to ask Ramdu what's up with that -- the guys have been talking about a themed issue, which might not have any straight news in it -- but I don't have any idea what the status of that is. You'd think they would want to bring out an ish for Corflu, but I am but a humble stringer for the mighty Chunga empire, so I hesitate to speculate.

Our next ish is indeed a Celluloid Fantasia themed ish. It will not be out for Corflu. Amdu is the driving force behind this particular ish, so I dunno for sure whether we'll have a Tangler this time or not.

We'll we see you at the pubmeet, since you aren't in Bellingham?

Well, winter wonderland permitting, we do plan to go to the pub, yeah.

I am surfing fine silver tonight. Not your mother's silver or you're mostly seen wiring silver. I never wish frubbles on folks. But this made me smile. ;) Wish us luck. Freezing rain here.

Eventually hied myself out into the snow to get silk, beads, and burgers. We've returned safely so now I'm ready to string...
