akirluI voted my absentee ballot today; I'll drop it off at my polling place -- who can resist the Happy Valley Grange? -- tonight. I signed up for permanent absentee balloting primarily to guarantee that I will always get a physical, re-countable, paper ballot, without mediation by dubious software or the Gnomes of Diebold. The trip to the polling place, I kinda like.
On the subject of the election my emotions are in a state of suspended animation. It's gotten to the point where I don't actually dare hope. But I exercised my franchise, by dang.
