Bottom of the Box

akirluToday, I feel as if something kooky, magical, and fundamentally good has touched the world. The morning round of blogging reveals that the drive to defeat W. has found a billionaire backer in George Soros. And Ross Perot is thinking about entering the 2004 presidential race. And over at the New York Times, Steve Martin is making fun of W. on the Weapons of Mass Distraction issue. Not only does the Emperor have no clothes, but people are beginning to point and laugh in public.
And for some reason, this confluence of events leaves me feeling that perhaps there is hope in the bottom of the box, after all.
