On eBay, it's possible to buy a Snufkin mini-Pez dispenser or a Snufkin coin bank, and though I've yet to see a decent Snufkin lapel pin to replace the one that [livejournal.com profile] groliffe lost, I live in hope.

Though for myself it's the Snorkmaiden mug by Arabia that's tempting.

INSTANT UPDATE

Also, for the fishing enthusiast: The Moomin Troll fishing lure. Possibly the only time that opportunity will present it self to the discerning collector. God bless the Japanese.

Well, I can pretty much promise you, you'll be the first one on your block with one of these babies. Possibly the first one in your state.

I am so relieved to live in a world where someone else has heard of the Moomins, I can hardly say. A few years ago, people were convinced I was either highly eccentric, Making It All Up, or both.

Best not tell her about the Pez dispensers, then. There might be carnage.

Hell, I'm from Sweden, which means I know of Moomin things what even Britons mostly wot not of. I have fantasies of getting Bull's to re-issue the books and books of comic strips, which were my introduction to the Moomins when I was a child. There have been Swedish and Finnish issues of the comics as books, but not, alas, in English. And while I read Swedish okay, most of my friends don't...

Yah, my "uncle" (=close family friend) in Sweden had to be selective about what he sent, because my Swedish is extremely rudimentary: I speak Norwegian by the seat of my pants and Swedish by warping my limited Norwegian, so it's not a pretty sight.
