I confess to being a little surprised that this exists. Not that Canada and the Canadian point of view are not worth study, so much as Americans are usually so colossally good at ignoring both.

Well... Yes, Americans are quite good at ignoring such things. On the other hand, Academic Americans seem to have great skill at attending to things that involve paying >$300 per year (for an
"Institutional" subscription (or down to $30 for a "student" one (which -- with questionable legality -- does not allow the on-paper publications to be re-sold)).

Personally... I'm remembering that one of the high points of my life was a Westercon at the University of B.C. where I slipped away to spend most of two days at an on-site convention of First Nation Women Writers.
