Dining Nook Rotation

I've been too busy and too sick to post much lately. I'm still too busy, but at least I'm no longer sick. Keep your fingers crossed for me. I just got back from Orycon on Sunday and since then half of everyone seems to have come down with projectile vomiting.

Meanwhile, here's a picture of the no-longer-quite-so-new fridge in the no-longer-quite-so-newly-reconfigured kitchen. I like the hell out of having the nook and table rotated, and whenever I manage not to have three different projects spread out on the table, we even eat there.

That fridge was the find of a lifetime. I'm still thrilled for you on that one!

Thanks! I'm still pretty thrilled, myself. Not least because, in addition to being marvelously retro and a great fridge AND a great bargain, it also forced me to try putting the refrigerator in the far corner of the kitchen instead of in the galley, and the difference the new arrangement makes to the spaciousness, rationality, airiness, and usability of the kitchen as a whole practically beggars description.

Wow. What a lovely kitchen nook and frig. I remain tickled that you got it. Thanks for the picture.

It has the freezer on the bottom? Looks like a very nice corner!

Yup, freezer is on the bottom. I've long preferred that configuration, and so I was very pleased that came with the package.

Thanks! It's definitely a work in progress, but it has good bones.

Well, I knew you wanted to see what it wound up like. More stuff at my Flickr account, if you click through the photo.

Well spotted! Although if you don't know what it's for, it could easily be mistaken for some sort of toxic waste containment vessel.

Or a "garbage disposal."

Wish I'd figured that out before we bought our new fridge. *sigh*

No, that's a reference to the movie Big Trouble. Everyone keeps saying that the mcguffin, a nuclear device, "looks like a garbage disposal."
