Going through our search files, I realized what should have been obvious to me all along: Harkonen is an actual real-world Finnish surname. It should be spelled Härkönen, but of course it's bloody Finnish.
Now I'm trying to imagine a blood feud between Finland and Saudi Arabia. Just doesn't work, especially when you think about all those nice Finns being forced to become Sardaukar.
Still, if any of the Nordic countries was to have a blood feud with anyone, it would have to be the Finns. They are the knife-toting hooligans of the North.
We have many sayings about Finns in my company, mostly said by Brits.
I can't find it now but there was an article a couple of years ago which, to paraphrase says...
"My grandmother told me many things before she died. She said that Germans were humourless, that South Koreans were arrogant... insert a load of stereotypes... and that Finns were rude, nasty and unplesant.
In my life I have found these to all be mostly made up.

She was right about the Finns though."
I wish I could find it now.
