Will Haiku for Earrings

akirluI found a pair of earrings on Elise's table that called my name. (There was a necklace, and a necklace-crown as well, but my discretionary money is to be conserved for Hal's birthday present, and anyway, Mary Kay bought the necklace.) Elise handed me the earrings on credit, plus a title, and a season, trusting that the haiku would be forthcoming. And so it was:
