First big, scary windstorms, and now unseasonably extensive snow? I keep getting this slightly creepy sense of déjà vu, hearing about the weather in the UK -- it's as if they've gotten all of Seattle's weird weather on a one-month satellite delay.

(Check out the pictures -- I like that snowman opposite the Houses of Parliament)

The snow is not unseasonable at all -- there's nothing unusual about an inch of snow in south-east England in January.

Most of the snow here in North London is all gone. Just slippery frost left behind.

I can remember going to an Eastercon in the late 90s during which it rained, hailed, snowed, and then got sunny--twice over in the space of 45 minutes.

The famed British reserve does not extend to the weather.:)

Isn't that the way weather generally travels?
