Tentacle in the Water

I am still waffling about this whole vexatious Corflu/Potlatch/both/none-of-the-above business. I am leaning toward Corflu, if forced to choose. Hal is leaning toward Potlatch. One possible solution would be for me to go down to Corflu, spend however much of the intervening week we can stand visiting my parents in San Jose, and the rest of the time imposing on friends and revisiting old haunts, and then join up with Hal for Potlatch. This leaves us only having to board the dog for a maximum of one weekend, which is about the most I can stand to contemplate. But if truth be told, I'd really rather not spring for a whole room at Corflu just for me. Anybody know anybody who's looking for a roomshare?

Well, it would be lovely to see you if you came. I can't vouch for anyone else's con experience, but I've always had a nice time at Corflus. On the other hand, I am a vetted extrovert and you're not. And I wouldn't wish anything on you that were predicated on your jobs NOT going well...

Oh, yes, always that. It's one reason that it's nice that now that we're in Washington, there's lots of new stuff to explore that is driving-distances away and has dog-friendly hostelries and so forth.
